Bug Reports

For bug reports please include the following (if possible):

  • The version of JDebugTool, the JDK and the OS.
  • The exact error message.
  • How the bug occurred.
  • If the bug is repeatable, the steps to reproduce the bug. A small sample program that demonstrates the bug would be wonderful.
  • If a stack backtrace is generated, such as from an uncaught exception, please send the complete backtrace.
  • If the debugger hangs or gets into an infinite loop, generate a thread and monitor dump for the debugger, and please send us the complete dump:
    • On UNIX®, send a signal to the debugger by the command kill -QUIT <debugger PID> or by typing the key sequence <ctrl>\ in the shell where the debugger is running.
    • On Windows®, type the key sequence <ctrl><break> in the shell where the debugger is running.
