This debugger seems to be great debugger combined with Emacs that I use.
I'm finding JDebugTool really helpful, especially when used with Emacs and Ant.
Your debugger doesn't have to be built in to your
IDE.... you can use a standalone debugger for remote debugging capabilities. See
www.debugtools.com for a highly recommended debugger.
A really nice looking Java Debugger for those who use the command line compiler
or an IDE that has a less than adequate debugger.

(if there is such a category).
With JDebugTool I was able to start debugging my App in about 10 minutes.
